from what i read its..

/console bloattest 1

/console spreadnameplates 0

the latter command making the name plates 3 denominational i think..
im at work and i haven't tried it yet but from what im reading it works.

tho the caveat is that it might make the plates large

Just thought I'd mention that the Tidy Plates addon also fixes this if anyone is still having issues. Plus, Tidy Plates just looks nice =) and you can have it show debuffs, combo points etc right on the plate.
